JOB SUMMARY:

$17.00 an hour. Maintain the cleanliness of floors, vents, signage, and chandeliers in assigned public and employee areas including restrooms, stripping and preparing floors for waxing, scrubbing and re-coating, which includes all front and back of the house areas. Performs maintenance duties such as cleaning of chandeliers, lights, removing gum and stains from flooring.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of floors in assigned public and employee areas.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of ceilings, light fixtures, vents, crystals or anything else that needs cleaning.
  • Use heavy duty floor cleaning equipment to thoroughly clean and care for all types of flooring thru out the property.
  • Utilize any and all deep cleaning equipment that may be used in Restrooms, public areas, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment preferred but not required.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving skills are highly desired, as well as an eye for detail.
  • Must be a team player.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Training program for one (1) week with proficiency reached in approximately 1-1-½ months.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, minimum of 4-6 hrs.
  • Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor via stairs (minimum of 20 steps) or by escalator.
  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, pour, tear, cut, sort and reach.
  • Must be able to work independently, plan, organize and complete work assignments.
  • Must be able to assemble and disassemble scaffolding and perform duties from scaffolding platform and ladders.
  • Must be able to operate and work from a sky lift or similar type of equipment.
  • Must be able to use all floor care equipment including heavy duty carpet cleaners, floor scrubbers, buffers and any other floor type equipment that might be needed.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule, holidays and weekends as requested.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
