Conducted in partnership with Louisville Consulting Group and Penny Tracker LLC, these classes provide students with practical skills they can put to work immediately to become more efficient at home and at work.

This workshop will teach students professional accounting and reporting principles. It will help students understand the workflow for their day-to-day business operations and show them how to customize the Chart of Accounts to track the most helpful financial information.

Using a realistic small business scenario, this workshop will teach small business owners how to read a Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow Statement, focusing on how that each relates to the others. Students will learn the 5 C’s of credit/lending and how to use the financial statements to determine potential lendability and learn the personal and business baseline requirements to obtain business lending.

This is a course for learners with little to no previous experience with Microsoft Excel. Students will learn to use Excel's powerful library of formulas, how to format spreadsheets and work with tables of data to sort, filter and group to find patterns.
