ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate®

In August 2019, Harrison County was recognized by ACT as a Work-Ready Community because of its initiative to educate individuals and help employers find qualified employees. Harrison County Lifelong Learning administers  the ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate® (NCRC), a portable, industry-recognized credential that clearly identifies an individual’s workplace skills. The test consists of three sections; Workplace Documents, Applied Math and Graphic Literacy. Individuals can earn a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze level status which correlates to virtually any job and reveals an employee’s aptitude for different skills.

There are currently 49 employers in Harrison County that recognize or recommend the NCRC.  Individuals interested in taking the test should contact Harrison County Lifelong Learning for a proctored session.
