the prevention of future abuse in our communities.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of donated goods between donation sites,
the warehouse, and retail locations. This role supports the organization’s mission by ensuring donations are
handled with care, routes are completed on schedule, and materials are delivered accurately to support store
operations and revenue generation.
The Truck Driver also represents the organization in the community and provides courteous, professional
interactions with donors, staff, and volunteers.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Transportation & Logistics
● Safely operate organization trucks to pick up and deliver donated goods.
● Follow assigned routes and schedules for donation pickups and store deliveries.
● Load and unload donations, furniture, and merchandise safely and efficiently.
● Accurately complete warehouse log sheets.
● Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport.
● Assist with transferring items between warehouse locations and retail stores.

Warehouse & Store Support
● Assist warehouse staff with unloading, sorting, baling, and staging donated goods.
● Move pallets, gaylords, furniture, or bulk donations as needed.
● Remove and dispose of recyclable materials and trash in accordance with established procedures.
● Support store operations by delivering inventory and retrieving unsold goods.
● Maintain organization and cleanliness of loading docks and truck areas, along with compactor and Tipper.
● Perform Warehouse Associate responsibilities as needed to support daily warehouse operations.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
● Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after routes.
● Report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
● Maintain delivery documentation.
● Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.

Mission Alignment
● Support the organization’s mission by demonstrating integrity, respect, and stewardship of donated goods.
● Treat donors, volunteers, and coworkers with professionalism and courtesy.
● Other duties as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required
● Must be 25 years of age or older
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
● Ability to team push, pull, and lift 50–100 pounds regularly
● Experience operating box trucks or delivery vehicles
● Strong customer service skills
Preferred
● Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or donation-based environment
● Knowledge of furniture handling and moving techniques
● Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
Work Environment
● Warehouse, retail store, and community pickup locations
● Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions
● Fast-paced environment with frequent physical activity
● Address daily driving/warehouse needs and operational concerns, escalating to the Warehouse Lead when
appropriate.
