Career Coaches are now at Harrison County Lifelong Learning Monday – Wednesday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and Thursdays from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Individuals can stop in or make an appointment to conduct job searches, prepare a resume, complete a skills assessment, develop a career plan and receive information on workforce training, referrals, and placement services. The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is reminding Hoosiers that applying for unemployment insurance benefits is completed electronically. Hoosiers can apply on a computer or smartphone. For more information on unemployment insurance, visit, unemployment.in.gov or call the UI Help Desk at 1-800-891-6499.

Certified Nurse Aide Training

Learn the fundamentals of nursing care! CNA Training is offered in partnership with Kaiser Healthcare Certifications and includes the required 30 hours of classroom instruction plus 75 hours in a clinical practicum. Students will be fully prepared for the written competency and procedure evaluation exam administered by the Indiana State Department of Health. Please complete a CNA Application to be notified of our upcoming classes!

 

CDL Driver Training

Our partnership with FIE Truck Driving School will offer small, local classes with individualized instruction and prepare students for a Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Financial assistance is available. Click here for more information.

Wow, what a week it has been!Our VEX Robotics Summer Camp students have been hard at work all week long, learning to program and test their autonomous robots as well as document in engineering notebooks in preparation for this afternoon's Resource Rush competition!There has been plenty of trial and error, problem-solving, teamwork, and excitement along the way.
