This position is responsible for operation of various machines in the treatment plant, adjust and troubleshoot any malfunctions to the system. Perform preventative maintenance and plumbing when necessary. Must have the ability to operate any equipment within permit requirements. Practice good housekeeping including routine cleaning tasks. Maintain a daily activities and equipment status log book. All other duties as assigned. Must have the ability to work around machinery as well as entrails. Work around chemicals as well as work in seasonal conditions with temperature ranges of 40 – 90 degrees. The noise level is very loud. Wear PPE and follow all safety policies and procedures. Ability to understand/interpret verbal, oral, written instruction.
Must have the ability to perform each job function satisfactorily by demonstrating that they can maintain the operation of the department while completing all assigned tasks. Ability to be flexible to work other shifts and/or weekends. Must have the ability to operate a tractor trailer and forklift or the ability to learn as well as work in confined space areas and use a ladder. Ability to meet the requirements of the on property commercial truck operations. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have the ability to work with chemicals and assist in training new personnel. Be alert and safety conscious at all times. Ability to be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend and reach in a repetitive motion as well as use ladders/stairs. Ability to be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to perform maintenance on equipment such as motors and pumps is preferred, but not required.
Hours: 5:00am to 2:00pm
