Why be bored over the summer?
Become this year’s summer intern at the Harrison County Purdue Extension Office. This is a 10–11-week, 40 hour per week, paid experience!
As an intern you will assist Extension Educators with a variety of educational opportunities in the areas of 4-H Youth Development, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Health and Human Science and Community Development. This is a great way to help you with your future endeavors by being involved in the community, planning and presenting events such as 4-H mini day camp, and gaining real life-hands on experience through assisting educators. You will be able to make a difference in lives of adult and youth.
Duties include, but are not limited to preparing program supplies for all educators, helping with 4-H Fair check-in and check-out, assisting with the 4-H Exhibit Hall Awards Ceremony, assisting with 4-H livestock shows.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Be able to speak in front of a number of people
- Have the ability to work both independently and as a team
- Be able to multi-task
- Enjoys working with children and adults
- Be able to work some evening and weekend hours
- Possession of valid Indiana driver’s license and a demonstrated safe driving record.
