Job Overview: Fabtration is custom steel fabricating company in Georgetown, Indiana. The job duties of a Machine Operator include using a variety of tools and machines such as a brake press, drill press, saw, and sandblaster to make quality parts. Machine Operators help set up and take down material in the plant to help prepare our welders, so the flow of the plant is continuously moving throughout the shift. The ideal candidate will be team oriented and have a good attendance record.

Types of Machines that will be operated:

• Drop saw
• Brake press
• Drill press
• Iron worker
• Shear
• Belt sander
• Sand blaster
• Grinder(s)

Forklift and Overhead Crane Experience is beneficial but not necessary; we train all new employees.

Shifts & Hours of Operation:

FULL TIME: Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Pay: Our starting pay ranges between $18.00 – $20.00 an hour BOE.

Our pay is based on experience. Each candidate will be scheduled to come in for an interview. The interview will give the employer an idea for experience the candidate has, as well as an opportunity for the candidate to experience the environment and scope of work expected.

Physical capabilities:

• Must be capable of reading a tape measure down to a sixteenth of an inch.
• Must be physically capable to perform general labor work requirements. (Standing, crawling, climbing, etc.)
• Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds.
• Must have reliable personal transportation.
