Harrison REMC, an electric distribution cooperative with headquarters located in Corydon, IN, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Accounting Assistant/Payroll & Accounts Payable.

The Accounting Assistant/Payroll & Accounts Payable position ensures accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll and accounts payable, provide timely and accurate financial information, participating in the daily time calculations and data entry payroll process.  This position also assists with a variety of accounting tasks.  The qualified applicants must possess the following skills:

·         Minimum 2-year degree in Accounting necessary.

·         Five year’s work experience in payroll and accounts payable preferred.

·         Experience in accounting systems planning and maintenance.

·         Established proficiency in planning, analysis, and oral and written communications.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft excel/word, accounting and business software.

·         Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.

·         Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
