Job requirements for this position include the following:

· Assist with grain receiving, conditioning, and storage for both outside and plant operations in accordance with Preferred Popcorn’s policies and procedures
· Probe bins, test samples, and report results to Outside Supervisor, Plant Manager, and QA Manager
· Receive popcorn into the plant
· Unload incoming material(s) and complete the necessary paperwork associated with incoming materials, including inspection records
· Complete bills of lading and other paperwork per company and regulatory requirements, including seal numbers
· Load orders of clean, bulk popcorn and document as required
· Operate CCP and document the loading of cleaned bulk orders
· Follow and understand Production Schedule
· Keep processing plant supplied with conditioned corn per direction from Outside Supervisor and Plant Manager
· Assist with fumigations as directed by licensed personnel
· Report any food safety, quality issues, or occupational safety concerns to Management immediately
· Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area at all times
· Follow all policies and procedures on safety, cleanliness, and BRC/FDA
· Complete Department of Transportation paperwork as needed
· Operate commercial vehicles and tractors as needed
· Assist in other areas of plant operations as necessary
· Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
Education: High school education preferred, but not required
Experience: Food production, grain handling, and quality control experience preferred, but not necessary
Demonstrated ability or equivalent experience in operation of truck /tractor
Skills: Understanding of grain handling equipment
Understanding of food safety and quality guidelines
Able to handle multiple tasks
Able to read and follow the shipping schedule
Ability to operate PITs
Acquire and maintain a CDL
Ability to climb grain bins
Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds throughout an 8 hour shift
Ability to lift above shoulder level
Ability to bend, stoop, and twist
Ability to tolerate fluctuating seasonal temperature conditions
Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours a day with adequate breaks
Maintain a valid driver’s license
Ability to operate grain truck/tractor
Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work well with others
