Events & Promotions Specialist

  1. Develops, plans and executes special events and promotions.
  2. Contributes to program development to help the department achieve its goals.
  3. Assists with the submission of, approval and verification of, all contracts, proposals, purchase requisitions, IGC submissions and any other company document needed to fulfill the planning and execution of an event.
  4. Creates and controls accurate player lists conducive to the level of events.
  5. Maintains security and confidentiality of files, records, and lists.
  6. Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with other departments.
  7. Works with other departments and vendors to arrange for food & beverage, decorations, gifts, entertainment, and supplies for all events.
  8. Accurately tracks all expenses for events and prepares expenses for analysis and financial review.
  9. Accurately tracks and communicates event reservation procedures and attendance of events to other departments.
  10. Coordinates approved events with emphasis on quality, as well as remaining within budgetary guidelines.
  11. Communicates event schedule and details to the property, including internal collateral distribution and conducting weekly meetings.
  12. Maintains records, charts, and graphs of events on a monthly basis.
  13. Will be measured on thoroughness of detail, event execution, and event ROS.
  14. Responsible for project management and meeting timelines.  Attention to detail and follow through.
  15. Processes cash transactions in accordance with the policies set forth in Marketing Operations, to include but not limited to obtaining a float from Employee Services, processing buy-ins, re-buys, and reel rewards for both table games and slot tournaments.
  16. Assists with the Caesars Rewards Center as needed, performing functions as a Caesars Rewards Representative.
  17. Performs and completes all other duties as assigned.
  18. Adheres to all department/company policies and procedures.
  19. Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to the property and encourages others to do the same.


Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.


  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or Entertainment based field preferred or equivalent in professional experience required.
  2. Event planning, VIP Services and general hosting experience preferred.

Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures. Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations.

Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business


  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
