Full Job Description

As the Warehouse Receiving Manager, you will work in a team and your primary responsibility will be to undertake stock control, receive goods and ensure a neat, organized and safe warehouse environment, while supervising the team. This role is also responsible for increasing company profitability and customer satisfaction by managing inventory and warehouse operations in a safe, secure, efficient and cost effective manner. You will be reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

You will responsible for coordinating regular stock audits and ensure that stock control measures are enforced minimizing shrinkage, and maintaining accurate inventory.
As the Warehouse Receiving Manager your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with customers daily and ensure that all customer requests are responded to in a timely and professional manner
  • Receiving, verifying and allocating incoming stock
  • Process and manage supplier claims and return storage configurations)in a safe and effective manner
  • Monitors the unloading of all goods into the receiving area
  • Ensures goods are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures
  • Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse
  • Monitors and measures receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy; receiving reporting, movement and storage of product.
  • Develops and recommends annual budget requirements for the warehouse and receiving area
  • Ensure labor resources and transport providers are utilized effectively to meet requirements
  • Processing and validating driver’s paperwork
  • Printing picking tickets, delivery dockets and general stock administration
  • Assist with the daily workflow and ensure smooth efficient warehouse operations
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner
  • Control of all stock movements in the warehouse through the management of periodic stock takes
  • Heavy, safe lifting and manual handling of stock is an everyday task that is essential to this position

In addition to a professional attitude and proven work history in a similar role you will be required to possess the following skill sets and personality traits:

  • At least 4 years of proven experience preferred in similar operations, warehouse and/or logistics role within a high volume warehouse environment
  • Previous experience in leading, developing and motivating a large team to meet and exceed KPI’s
  • Great work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work within a fast paced environment
  • Have superior organizational skills, time management and be able to multi-task under pressure
  • Display a ‘can do’ attitude and not adverse to hands on work
  • Ability to work autonomously
